Two years ago, the Nor Cal Assault hosted the US Olympic Team with our pitchers throwing three scoreless innings against Team USA...this past season, we secured our 35th scholarship for an Assault player in the past 7 years...and first to Stanford University.  The Nor Cal Assault is continuing their mission in putting the best on the field and playing against the best in the world.

The Nor Cal Assault is a Junior Olympic Girls Softball Organization created for the sole purpose of developing successful student athletes in their quest to improve their skills, play a total "team game" and work towards competing in college and beyond.

Athletes have been invited to join this organization based on their potential as both a player and a person. These young girls have committed themselves to learning and performing at the highest level of their sport.

Over the past seven years, the Nor Cal Assault has sent players to Division I, II, III, JC and NAIA schools across the country.  Assault players are suiting up as scholarship athletes in Florida, New Jersey, Maine, Indiana, Arizona, California, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, Oregon, New Mexico, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Kansas, and even North Dakota. Pac-10, Big-10, Conference USA, Big 12, Big West -- all have seen Assault players dot their stat sheets.

The instruction that they are given and the philosophies that they are exposed come directly from a program that has won eight Division I National Championships and led the US Olympic Softball Team to gold.

Their travels take them all over the United States and introduces them to the legendary coaches and players of the game.  After many successful tournaments at the 18U and 18Gold level, the original Nor Cal Assault squad moved to 23U in the summer of 2008 to play against the best in the world.  With the USA game behind them, the Assault competed against foreign Olympic teams in Vancouver, B.C.  in the Women's Division of the Canada Cup.  It was there that they went head to head with Australia, Canada and the Czech Republic.

The 18U team cris-crossed the US this past summer showcasing in Las Vegas, Colorado, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Los Angeles and always look forward to their annual trip to Florida.

The 16U team played a full schedule of local tournaments and completed their summer schedule joining the 18's to showcase in Los Angeles. This season, those same 16's move up to 18U while the 18's move to 23's. The younger age groups of our program play as the West Coast Ghosts (who's site can be found at www.wcghosts.com)
